A BLACKPINK Member Has the Highest Debut on Billboard’s Global Charts — Again

With a series of new releases, the group's four members have infused the Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. over the last several months.

A BLACKPINK Member Has the Highest Debut on Billboard’s Global Charts — Again

JENNIE earns the Hot Shot Debut on the March 22-dated Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart and the Billboard Global 200, as “like JENNIE” opens at Nos. 3 and 5, respectively. It’s another in a chain of chart arrivals from the South Korean singer-songwriter and her three BLACKPINK bandmates.

Last week, it was LISA who scored the highest new entry on Global Excl U.S., as “FXCK Up the World,” featuring Future, arrived at No. 14. The week before, JENNIE did so on both lists with “ExtraL,” with Doechii, at Nos. 13 (Global Excl. U.S.) and 18 (Global 200). Before that, Jisoo’s “Earthquake” rumbled in (No. 22, Global Excl. U.S.), and one week prior, LISA launched “Born Again,” featuring Doja Cat and RAYE (Nos. 12 and 22, respectively).

That makes five consecutive weeks where the biggest new song in the world came from a BLACKPINK solo project. The only member who didn’t earn a Hot Shot Debut in the last month? ROSÉ, after she earned the honor in December with “Toxic Till The End” and in November with “APT.,” with Bruno Mars. Add another for Lisa (“Moonlit Floor”) and JENNIE (“Mantra”) in October.

It’s been a barrage of material from the group’s four singers on their own, and the success rate has been staggering. Dating back five months (to charts dated Oct. 19), BLACKPINK soloists have logged at least one top 20 debut in 11 of the last 23 weeks.

In total, the four BLACKPINK members have accumulated 29 solo entries on Global Excl. U.S., including four No. 1s — exceeding the 19 and three, respectively, that they’ve achieved as a group.

The women of BLACKPINK have not only flooded the global charts with quantity, but they’ve found lasting success. LISA’s “Rockstar” debuted at No. 1 on Global Excl. U.S. last summer and spent five months on the tally, during which she added a 10-week run with “New Woman,” featuring Rosalia, and crossed over to the U.S.-based Pop Airplay chart for 19 weeks with “Moonlit Floor.” JENNIE’s “Mantra” spent its first four weeks in the top 10 and rebounds to No. 53 this week, vaulting 141 positions in its 21st frame. And then there’s “APT.”

ROSÉ and Bruno Mars’ duet debuted atop both global tallies and hasn’t left the top five of either in its 21 weeks. On Global Excl. U.S., its 17 nonconsecutive weeks on top make it the longest-leading hit in the list’s four-and-a-half-year history.

Each member has been promoting a debut solo project. First came ROSÉ’s rosie, released Dec. 6. Next, JISOO’s AMORTAGE materialized on Valentine’s Day. LISA’s Alter Ego arrived on Feb. 28, and then JENNIE’s Ruby the following week, impacting the current global charts. Plus, LISA is starring in the third season of HBO’s The White Lotus, following JENNIE’s turn on the network’s The Idol in 2023. The latter series spurred chart activity, as JENNIE hit the top 10 of both global lists with “One of the Girls,” alongside The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp.

All these charted solo releases lead back to the group’s reunion. The BLACKPINK 2025 World Tour begins on July 5, with 15 scheduled shows over a month and a half in stadiums across Asia, Europe and North America. Three additional dates are set for Tokyo in January 2026.

The group’s prior outing, the Born Pink World Tour, grossed $109.5 million from 457,000 tickets in the United States and Canada, alone, according to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore. Though this year’s run boasts fewer shows worldwide than their last did just in North America, revenue could be even bigger due to the all-stadium routing in the wake of each member’s global solo success.
