Even if it makes him seem like “a wanker.”

Well, stranger things — and stranger reunions — have happened. Liam Gallagher has flipped his parka inside-out about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, stating that he would indeed attend the ceremony if Oasis were to receive an induction. Gallagher was roused to share his thoughts on social media about the band’s second Rock Hall ballot, which was revealed to the public on February 12. (Oasis made the shortlist in 2024 but didn’t make the final cut.) “I’m allowed to be a wanker every now and again it’s good for the soul in here. Plus it’s 2025,” he wrote to one fan, adding to another, “I’m gonna go and pick up the award and say, I’ll let you off this is a wonderful honour and I’d like to thank all of the gods starting with myself.” When asked point-blank about how he would react if Oasis wins, Gallagher responded: “Obviously go and say it’s the best thing ever.” You may recall how he went on a colorful tirade of insults against the organization last year, referring to it as, among other things, a “wank award by some geriatric in a cowboy hat” and “very fishy.” And now? He and his brother Noel brokered a peace treaty and will soon embark on an international tour, which, we should note, doesn’t seem to coincide with the Rock Hall’s probable early- to mid-October ceremony date. He’s supersonic!
