Ariana Grande’s Label Shuts Down Rumors: Pop Star Has ‘No Plans’ to Tour in 2025
The singer had previously hinted that a small run of Eternal Sunshine shows might be in the works.
Sorry, Arianators. Despite rumors to the contrary, Ariana Grande does not have a tour in the works for 2025, something her label confirmed on X Sunday (Dec. 15).
Replying to a fan account speculating that the pop star was gearing up to announce a run of concert dates, Republic Records cut to the chase by noting in the replies, “There are no plans for a tour next year.”
The label’s official account added, “But Ariana remains deeply appreciative of her fans and all their continued love, support and excitement.”
Grande hasn’t toured since her Sweetener trek ended in 2019. Fans had been hopeful she would hit the road again soon following the release of her Billboard 200-topping album Eternal Sunshine in March, but it looks like they might have to wait even longer to see her on stage again.
The R.E.M. Beauty founder has certainly been occupied throughout 2024, promoting blockbuster musical film Wicked — in which she stars as Glinda opposite Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba — for months leading up to the film’s Nov. 22 release. She did, however, previously tease that she was considering embarking on a limited run of performances to support Eternal Sunshine, telling Zach Sang in February that she “would love to do shows” again.
“[The tour] would obviously be shorter,” she added at the time. “If anything, it would be a littler something. But I definitely do have the itch.”
In July, she gave an update on the possibility of touring. “It’s something we are trying to figure out, because I have to spread my focus quite thin these days,” she said. “But it’s something really important to me that I figure out, because I love and miss my fans so much.”
