Chappell Roan Teases a New Album, Says It’s ‘Time to Welcome a Hot New Bombshell Into the Villa’

Chappell Roan’s sophomore album might be on the way sooner than fans expect.
The “Hot to Go!” singer took to Instagram on Tuesday (Oct. 29) to share a series of selfies led by a throwback-style snap of herself holding her The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess LP. “Album kinda popped off imo but it is time to welcome a hot new bombshell into the villa,” she captioned the snaps, in reference to the popular saying on the Love Island reality television series when a new contestant joins the show. The phrase has led fans to believe another album will soon enter the music scene.
See the post here. The 26-year-old pop star has been teasing something on the way, previously sharing a potential single or album title called “She Gets the Job Done” alongside a series of Polaroid photos of herself rocking her own merch. “This is a clue. Just let that sink in,” she wrote.
Earlier this month, Dan Nigro — who co-wrote and produced the popstar’s first LP — shared details about Roan’s sophomore effort. According to him, the duo has already completed five tracks for the project, including a “fun, up-tempo country song,” a “couple of ballads” and a “mid-tempo rock song.”
This potential album will follow the release of Roan’s debut album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess last year. After a series of headline-making performances — including at Coachella and Gov Ball 2024 — the 14-track project earned a peak of No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
