JonasCon: Everything That Happened and What Got Announced
Scheana Shay delivered a few pizzas to the Jonas Brothers.

Someday, in the not-too-distant future, a team on Pop Culture Jeopardy will be buzzing in to answer, “What is JonasCon?” to some trivia question posed by Colin Jost. And to that I say, “What are frogs?” JonasCon, a one-day fan convention held in the Jonas Brothers home state of New Jersey, dared to celebrate all things Nick, Joe, and Kevin. It featured a Jonas Museum with artifacts like merch from the It’s About Time tour and the brothers’s outfits from the Disney Channel Games as well as escape rooms, laser tag, and more. Which is incredibly humble of them to include other activities because it’s clear that anyone at JonasCon is there to see the brothers. They had several performances throughout the day, some in the all ages section of the con and others in the 21+ area where they hopefully got to let loose a little considering the fact that it’s an indoor waterpark.
Who was at JonasCon?
Besides Kevin, Nick, and Joe, JonasCon had performances by The All American Rejects, Franklin Jonas (a.k.a. the Bonus Jonas), and Deleasa, as well as the Jonas Brothers affiliated acts like DNCE, Nick Jonas (his solo career), and Big Rob (hell yeah). Camp Rock cast members Anna Maria Perez De Tagle (Ella), Matthew Finley (Luke), and Meaghan Martin (Tess) stopped by to surprise campers fans of their DCOM. Even the rival station boy band, Big Time Rush from Nickelodeon, came by to sing a song with the band. Outside of music and Disney Channel, the con hosted celebrity life coach and podcaster Jay Shetty for some reason and a live podcast from Bar Stool’s Chicks in the Office— JonasCon was a safe space for all artistic mediums with a microphone.
Okay, has anyone checked on Scheana Shay?
JonasCon actually does affect her. Shay made an appearance, reprising her role as Maria the Pizza Girl from the brothers’s Disney Channel series, Jonas. In the episode, the brothers are all in love with Maria, leading to the song “Pizza Girl.” She took a pic with Nick, Kevin, and Joe at the festival after her appearance, wearing a red hat (not that kind of red hat) and a white long sleeve to resemble a restaurant uniform— as least it’s not a bandana mini dress. However, her cameo wasn’t only to celebrate all things pizza; she also revealed her upcoming memoir, My Good Side. Hopefully there’s a chapter of all things Jonas.
Anything else coming from the brothers?
A lot is on the way for the Jonas Brothers. They have a new tour with Marshmello coming up this Fall to accompany the next 20 years of Jonas Brothers and a new album, Greetings from Your Hometown. Speaking of their hometown, they’ll be inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame sometime this year. They also confirmed their upcoming Christmas movie will have an album alongside its release. Also, Joe Jonas is releasing solo work of his own. Maybe somewhere along the way, they can do a remix of “Good as Gold” as a thank you to their pizza girl.
