Kim Kardashian, in a Christmas Miracle, Returns to Music
Travis Barker seemingly decided to revive his sister-in-law’s singing career as a gift.
It’s a Christmas miracle! Kim Kardashian’s music career is alive again, with the reality star releasing a cover of “Santa Baby” as her first song in 13 years. Sure, Kardashian hung things up quickly after her 2011 party track “Jam (Turn It Up),” but now she’s back (just a year after convincing us she’s an actor) with this whispery, perfectly serviceable take on Eartha Kitt’s holiday classic. The track was produced by Travis Barker, who seemingly decided to revive his sister-in-law’s singing career as a Christmas gift. The song even comes with a music video, directed by Nadia Lee Cohen and Charlie Denis, a home-video-style one-take of a chaotic Christmas party. Kardashian crawls around the house, past some costumed guests (elves, a fur-suited reindeer, Jesus himself), before getting to Santa himself — played by Macaulay Culkin. Guess he can cross Kim off his own list, too.
