Actor, podcaster, and top-ten Jimmy Kimmel Live! guest host Lamorne Morris won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie at the 2024 Emmy Awards. Morris won for his role in the fifth season of Fargo, which also starred Juno Temple, Jon Hamm, and Jennifer Jason Leigh. Morris’s acceptance speech was the only one of the night to mention being born, and doubly so the only one that described being born as “I dropped out of her butt.” Morris also thanked his daughter, Lily. “I love you,” he said “I told you I would do it. You have always doubted me.” Take that, Lily!

Morris shouted out his fellow nominees, especially The Sympathizer’s Robert Downey Jr. “I’ve got a poster of you in my house,” Morris said from the stage. “Sign it. Seriously.” Downey pumped his fist in the air when he learned of his presence in the Morris home, so getting that bad boy signed seems like a lock. But for what proj is the poster? Kiss Kiss Bang Bang? Chaplin? SNL season 11? Vulture has reached out to Morris’s reps to find out.
