Songwriting Legend Jimmy Webb Signs Marketing & Admin Deal With Primary Wave

Primary Wave Music has signed a marketing and administration agreement with legendary songwriter Jimmy Webb to represent a major portion of his music publishing catalog, including such classic songs as “Wichita Lineman,” “The Worst That Could Happen,” “Galveston,” “By the Time I Get To Phoenix,” the Grammy-winning “MacArthur Park” and “Up, Up and Away.” Moreover, as part of the deal, Primary Wave will work closely with Webb to market not just his music catalog but also his name, image and likeness.

In a statement, Webb says he’s looking forward to partnering with Primary Wave, adding, “They have a youthful enthusiasm and creative approach to publishing that will expose my music to new audiences.”

During his career, Webb has amassed numerous awards, including 3 Grammys, and has been inducted into the Songwriter Hall of Fame (in 1986) and the Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame (in 2013). Webb’s songs have been recorded and performed by the likes of Glen Campbell, Richard Harris, Art Garfunkel, Frank Sinatra, Guns N’ Roses, Joe Cocker, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson and Linda Ronstadt.
