Summer Walker Launches ‘Over It Radio’ on Apple Music
The first episode airs Friday with Sexyy Red as the first guest.
Summer Walker announced on Monday (Dec. 9) that she’s launching her own “Over It Radio” show on Apple Music this week.
The six-episode series will debut ahead of her highly anticipated third studio album, Finally Over It. The show will feature Walker talking about relationships, motherhood, friendship and music, both her own music and the music she’s listening to right now. The first episode of “Over It Radio” will air this Friday (Dec. 13) at 11 a.m. PST at apple.co/overitradio, with Sexyy Red as the first guest. They’ll discuss what they’re currently over, reminisce on past projects they’ve worked on together and give hilarious advice to a fan calling in for guidance on how to deal with a sticky relationship.
Three versions of the Grammy-nominated R&B singer corresponding with each album in her trilogy (the Over It Summer Walker, the Still Over It Summer Walker and the Finally Over It Summer Walker) link up at Apple Music’s studio in the official announcement video. “I was over it when we was playing games, when girls needed love, and no, I don’t care that I told him to come through,” says the version of Walker who corresponds with her 2019 debut album. “I told you he was an ex for a reason. But I needed closure,” says the one who aligns with her Billboard 200-topping sophomore album from 2021.
“Ladies! I’m finally over it. So let’s talk about it. This is ‘Over It Radio,'” proclaims the new Finally Over It Summer Walker.
“My vision for ‘Over It Radio’ is to create a safe space where I can own my own narrative and provide a platform for the women I admire in the entertainment industry to do the same. We discuss the topics that matter to them, without any hidden agendas,” she told Apple Music. “Listeners can look forward to hearing powerful, accomplished women celebrating their successes, sharing their frustrations about what they’re ready to move on from and keeping it real about the challenges they face as women, mothers and entrepreneurs.”
The following episodes will air weekly on Thursdays with a break for the holidays. “Over It Radio” will also be available on-demand for Apple Music subscribers on Apple Music and Apple Podcasts.
