Where the hell has Taylor Lautner been, loca? Hunting werewolves, apparently. According to Variety, Amazon MGM+ is developing Taylor Lautner: Werewolf Hunter to star the former alpha of the Black werewolf pack. Created by Daisy Gardner, the show will be produced by Gardner, Lautner, and horror collective Radio Silence.

“After wrapping the final Twilight film, Taylor Lautner vanished from the spotlight. Fans speculated, tabloids theorized—but the truth is wilder than fiction. Taylor wasn’t just taking a mental health break. He was preparing for his real calling,” says the logline. The show will be about how Lautner was recruited by an elite lycanthrope tracker for his particular set of skills. Of course, we know the real reason Lautner was seen less after The Twilight Saga wrapped has more to do with body dysmorphia and toxic tabloid culture, but wouldn’t it be nice if it was just that monsters exist and Lautner was busy fighting them? Also, we’re assuming this show will never address how the Quileute tribe’s shapeshifters weren’t technically werewolves, will it? Yeah, at one point in the books Stephenie Meyer says there are “real” werewolves and Jacob and fam aren’t it. Then it’s never mentioned again. Classic Stephenie.
