In one union, under thespianism, comes an awards show that really is all about the actors. The Screen Actors Guild Awards returns to Netflix on February 23 and it has a host for the first time since 2019, actress Kristen Bell. Below, everything we know about the 2025 SAG Awards, including where and when to watch.
Who’s hosting the SAG Awards in 2025?
Kristen Bell, who was the show’s first host in 2018, returns to the stage to accept her award as “one of only two actors who booked the hosting gig in the awards’ history who’s not Megan Mullally.” “Thrilled to be hosting the SAG Awards again this year,” Bell shared in a December statement. “I’m honored to be asked back and can’t wait to share the evening with my fellow actors, doing what we do best… celebrating ourselves ???? .” The SAG Awards only had a host for two years (2018, 2019) before returning as a host-less event in 2020 to help improve ratings, as producers explained at the time.

Nominations?
Nominations were announced on January 8, 2025, through a press release rather than a live broadcast due to the fires in the Los Angeles area at the time. “We look forward to celebrating these incredible actors and their work at the SAG Awards ceremony,” the guild said at the time. However, one winner has already been announced: Jane Fonda will receive the Life Achievement Award, presented by Julia Louis-Dreyfus. The rest will just have to wait.
When do the SAG Awards air?
The 2025 SAG Awards will stream live on Netflix on Sunday, February 23, at 8 p.m. ET., following a pre-show at 7 p.m. hosted by Lilly Singh and Sasheer Zamata. Bravo in advance! (Actors need that kind of validation.)
