The Avengers: Doomsday Cast Is Assembling
Rebecca Romijn, Alan Cumming, Ian McKellen are revived from the X-Men franchise.

We hope you’re sitting down — because the full cast of Avengers: Doomsday is about to as well. One by one, Marvel has been revealing the cast it assembled on a social-media livestream on March 26, showing the actors’ names on the backs of director’s chairs since 11 a.m. ET. So far, the cast is heavy on Marvel’s newer stars, including Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn, all of whom are set to make their Marvel debut later this year in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and Lewis Pullman, who will do the same in Thunderbolts. On the other end, Chris Hemsworth is once again set to return as Thor, and Marvel previously shared that Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. would be back too, now as Doctor Doom.
The film will have some surprising appearances from the X-Men world, including Ian McKellen returning as Magneto for the first time since 2014’s Days of Future Past, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler for the first time since 2003’s X2, and Rebecca Romijn as Mystique for the first time since 2011’s X-Men: First Class. Also notably featured is Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s Tenoch Huerta Mejía in one of his first roles since musician María Elena Ríos accused him of being a sexual predator in 2023.
The livestream is still going, revealing about one name every 12 to 13 minutes. That means more surprises could be in store, and you have as good a distraction as any from work today. Below, all the cast members revealed so far.
