No wonder this year’s Grammys seating chart had Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga’s chairs going, “I’d wanna be next to you.” The Academy has confirmed that the “Die With a Smile” duo will perform a special tribute to Los Angeles and those impacted by the wildfires at the 2025 Grammys. They’ll be joining a bratty lineup: Charli XCX, who is coming into the night as one of the top nominees for her sixth album, is set to take the stage during the ceremony. In fact, the Academy booked all three members of pop’s new “holy trinity,” with Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan also set to sing. Good, because this was starting to look like déjà vu, with Trevor Noah hosting yet again and Beyoncé up for another Album of the Year. Swifties have reason to tune in too, with four-time AOTY winner Taylor Swift among the presenters. And the Academy is planning a tribute to the late Quincy Jones, one of the winningest artists of all time.

Is this finally going to be the year that Beyoncé wins the top prize? Will Noah’s monologue be as “Pope-ular” as Nikki Glaser’s Golden Globes jokes? It won’t be long until we find out. What to know about tuning in, including whether the show has been affected by the wildfires in Los Angeles and when and where to watch.

Who are the performers?

The Academy booked seven of the eight Best New Artist nominees to perform, including Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Benson Boone, Doechii, Raye, Teddy Swims, and Shaboozey. They join Charli, who’s also never performed at Music’s Biggest Night. But it’s not all new blood: Grammy darling Billie Eilish will also perform, of course, and so will Best Latin Pop Album nominee Shakira. Finally, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars will perform as one of the tributes planned for the ceremony.

And presenters?

Ever heard of a little singer named Taylor Swift? The six-time-nominated Tortured Poet will present for the first time since the 2015 Grammys. 2022 and 2024 Best New Artist winners Olivia Rodrigo and Victoria Monét are presenting, along with two-time nominee SZA, Best Rap Performance nominee Cardi B, and Best Global Music Performance nominee Gloria Estefan. Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Anthony Kiedis and Chad Smith will present as well, along with Queen Latifah. And Will Smith will take the stage for a hopefully nonviolent presentation.

What tributes are planned?

This year’s Grammys are expected to be a slightly more somber affair in light of the Los Angeles wildfires. The Academy has confirmed that Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars will take the stage to perform a special tribute to the Grammys’ host city and those affected by the fires. Along with that, the Academy will also be honoring one of its winningest members of all time, Quincy Jones, who died in November at 91. Jones won 28 Grammys, third only to Beyoncé and Sir Georg Solti, as well as the Trustees Award, Legends Award, and MusiCares Person of the Year. According to Billboard, Jones’s tribute will be separate from the In Memoriam segment.

The artists set to appear in these tributes include Brad Paisley, Brittany Howard, Chris Martin, Cynthia Erivo, Herbie Hancock, Jacob Collier, Janelle Monáe, John Legend, Lainey Wilson, Sheryl Crow, St. Vincent, and Stevie Wonder. It’s unclear who will be performing, but it seems likely that peers like Hancock and Wonder will be among those honoring Jones.

Who is hosting?

Trevor Noah might not be behind the desk at The Daily Show anymore, but he’s got a yearly show to look forward to. For the fifth time in a row, the comedian has been hired to host the Grammys. And the 2025 awards ceremony could turn out to be a pretty busy night for him: Noah is also serving as a producer for the show and could potentially need to get up and give an acceptance speech as one of this year’s nominees. (He’s up for Best Comedy Album.)

How can I watch the 2025 Grammys?

The Grammys are set to air on CBS on February 2 from 8 to 11:30 p.m. ET, live out of the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The ceremony will also stream live and on demand for Paramount+ with Showtime users. (Sorry, but if you’re a Paramount+ Essential subscriber, you’ll have to wait until the next day to stream it on demand.)

Will there still be a red carpet?

Yup! The Associated Press is reportedly planning to stream a three-hour red carpet show, featuring interviews and fashion footage, on both YouTube and APNews.com.

Have the wildfires affected the 2025 Grammys?

Although other awards ceremonies have been postponed or even canceled due to the Los Angeles wildfires, the date for the 2025 Grammys has so far not changed. But the Grammys did note in a statement that this year’s broadcast will focus attention on raising money to “support wildfire relief efforts and honoring the bravery and dedication of first responders who risk their lives to protect ours.” Several Grammys events and parties have been canceled to redirect funds to fire relief. The Recording Academy and MusiCares previously also launched the Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort to support music professionals who have been impacted by the crisis, and kicked off donations with a $1 million pledge.
