Ariana Grande Was ‘Shaking’ After SNL Kiss With Bowen Yang
Yang apologized for opening his mouth too much during their Saturday night smooch.
Bowen Yang is ready to clear the air. On Wednesday’s ep of Las Culturistas, he apologized to Ariana Grande for his behavior on the set of Saturday Night Live. “I really have to apologize to you in person,” he said. “I opened up my mouth too much when we kissed on SNL.” And Grande appreciated the apology! “You absolutely did. I was shaking after,” she responded. “Not in a bad way. Just in a disarming way.”
The smooch came at the end of a sketch where Grande and Yang were playing warring members of a family charades night. Yang played the new bf of Grande’s son, and her competitive nature leads to heat between the combatants. Apparently it was both of their ideas to kiss once their game war hit its apex. “When we rehearsed it, [I had] a little … thought in my head,” Grande said. “I didn’t say anything because I was like Everyone’s going to think I’m absolutely insane and too comfortable. But I was like, How funny would it be if we kissed at the end?” Then Yang texted Grande the exact same idea. It was fate. “It felt like what these people needed at that time,” Grande said. “It felt like what these characters required. And I’m all for it.”
