Charli XCX Gets Intro From Julia Fox, Performs ‘360’ and ‘Sympathy Is a Knife’ on ‘SNL’: Watch

Charli XCX brought songs from her Grammy-nominated Brat album to Saturday Night Live on Nov. 16.

The 32-year-old British pop star pulled double duty as both host and musical guest on the iconic NBC sketch comedy show. Between cracking jokes in sketches, Charli delivered electrifying performances of “360” and “Sympathy Is a Knife,” both from her sixth album, Brat. The set debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 in June and has earned widespread acclaim, including a Grammy nomination for album of the year.

Charli’s first performance opened with a surprise introduction from Uncut Gems star Julia Fox, who set the stage for the artist’s minimalist performance of “360.” Dressed in dark sunglasses, a black Lou Reed T-shirt, a white skirt, knee-high boots and a matching black purse, Charli sashayed amid a lime green backdrop reminiscent of her Brat album cover. “360” also earned Grammy nods for record of the year and best music video, the latter featuring Fox among a star-studded lineup of cameos.

For her second song, Charli was introduced by SNL cast member Bowen Yang (who wore a Vroom Vroom shirt), before launching into a high-energy rendition of “Sympathy Is a Knife.” Dressed all in black, Charli delivered a club-worthy performance in front of a giant white screen emblazoned with the word “Party” and “Girl” scrawled across the floor in bold lettering.

This marks Charli’s third appearance on SNL, following her previous musical guest spots in 2014 and 2022.

Her latest SNL appearance comes just after wrapping up her Sweat tour with Troye Sivan. The 22-show run grossed $28 million and sold 297,000 tickets, according to figures reported by Billboard Boxscore.
