Dave Franco Knows Who He Looks Like

When Luigi Mangione was apprehended last month, Dave Franco’s phone exploded. “I have never received more texts in my life about anything,” he told The Hollywood Reporter at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival. Everyone was lining up to tell Franco that he looks like the internet heartthrob/alleged murderer. “Anyone who has my phone number has reached out about it,” he said.

Franco was at Sundance to promote his new film with wife Alison Brie, Together. But the world is already lining up his next proj: a biopic on our man Luigi. Multiple documentaries are already in the works on the alleged United Healthcare CEO assassin, but the scripted field is wide open. And none of those texts to Franco came with contracts to sign. “I don’t think there have been any official offers,” Brie said.
