Drake Bell, Josh Peck Discuss Quiet on Set Abuse Allegations
Bell was anxiously waiting on his abuser Brian Peck’s arrest while filming the Drake & Josh pilot.

Drake Bell and Josh Peck have reunited to reflect on the documentary Quiet on Set and their time on Nickelodeon. On a March 24 episode of Peck’s Good Guys podcast, the duo reflects on Bell’s abuse by producer Brian Peck (unrelated to Josh Peck) and how it affected their friendship when they were 14. The two became close friends while filming The Amanda Show, bonding over their love of classic TV sitcoms and finding their groove as a buddy comedy pairing. Bell was being abused by Brian, and he was carrying the weight with him into the next show, even if Brian wasn’t around all the time. “The big break between Drake & Josh and Amanda Show is when I told my mom what was going on,” Bell shared. “And then when we shot the pilot, we were in the middle of the investigation, but nobody had known anything because Brian hadn’t been arrested.” Brian wasn’t a producer on Drake & Josh, but he frequently visited the set as Bell anticipated his arrest. “I know that this guy’s about to get arrested,” Bell said. “I know that shit is about to hit the fan, and nobody in here knows it.” However, Josh, who was 14 at the time, didn’t know any of this and didn’t understand why Bell was being distant with him. “Until you sort of shared with me what was happening, I was just looking at it through the prism of a 14-year-old’s brain going like, ‘He doesn’t want much to do with me,’” Josh confessed.
Brian Peck was arrested and convicted for lewd conduct with a minor in 2003; Bell revealed that he was the victim being abused by Brian in the Quiet on Set documentary in 2024. Since the documentary aired, Bell shared he went to rehab following his interview with the production. Drake Bell and Josh Peck will continue their discussion in another episode of the podcast, as this one was described as the first part of the series.
