Percy Jackson and the Olympians Breaks the Two-Book Curse
Season three is confirmed, which means Nico di Angelo is coming to Disney+.

It’s time for Percy Jackson and the Olympians to boldly go where no Logan Lerman has gone before. Disney+ has renewed the show for a third season based on The Titan’s Curse, the third book in Rick Riordan’s series. The Lerman-starring Percy Jackson movies (which Riordan once said put his life’s work “through a meat grinder”) never made it that far. “We’re so grateful to be continuing the story of Percy Jackson on Disney+,” Riordan said in a statement. “This third season will be new territory for the screen, bringing fan favorites like the Hunters of Artemis and Nico di Angelo to life for the first time.” Even though the author’s statement didn’t mention by name, we dare say we’ll also be meeting Rachel Elizabeth Dare, given that she’s introduced in The Titan’s Curse during a pretty dam memorable trip to the Hoover Dam.
The confirmation comes well before the upcoming December premiere of season two, which recently wrapped production in Vancouver. The first season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians — starring Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri — debuted in 2023, and we didn’t get confirmation of a second season until about a month after the season-two finale. Riordan celebrated the much earlier season-three greenlighting as a “huge sign of commitment from Disney,” adding that it “speaks volumes about the enthusiasm with which the fandom has embraced the TV show. Thank you, demigods worldwide!” Translation: keep those fan edits coming.
