On an episode of Chris Van Vilet’s podcast posted Thursday (Jan. 23), the WWE pro opened up about his experience watching his friend Travis Kelce play against the Buffalo Bills in 2023 with none other than the “Karma” singer sitting nearby. Explaining that the tight end had personally invited him and his family to swing by Kelce’s reserved suite at Arrowhead Stadium — where Swift often sits during her boyfriend’s home games — Corbin recalled how warmly she welcomed them.

“She walks right up to everybody, gives them a hug, gave us a hug,” he said. “It was like you were instantly family in that box … She walked in with like, maybe her security guard, but no entourage. It’s all Kelce’s buddies from high school and home, and they’re all super cool. Nobody’s got egos in there.”

Later that evening, the wrestler said he tagged along to a Christmas party hosted by Kelce, where Corbin shared drinks with Swift. “We hung out, went to the bar,” the Kansas City native shared. “She’s just a regular human being that is probably the most influential person in the world right now. Unbelievably talented. It’s so refreshing to see someone like that.”

Calling the 14-time Grammy winner “dope” and “super humble,” Corbin did note that he didn’t always love sharing a box with her. “I wanted out of the suite for a little while,” he said, comparing the experience to being in a “fishbowl.” “It’s just mobs of people standing outside the suite, just taking selfies of Taylor. That is a different magnitude.”

More than a year later, the Chiefs are set to face off against the Bills again at the AFC Championships Sunday (Jan. 26). Whoever wins will advance to the 2025 Super Bowl, where Kendrick Lamar — and newly announced guest SZA — will perform during the Halftime Show.
