Mid-February in New York City is definitely sweater weather, so of course SNL50 had Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph’s reprise their beloved daytime talk show “Bronx Beat.” The duo spent the first half fawning over a very game Miles Teller, who they know from “Top Gun 2” (“It’s Top Gun: Maverick,” he reminded them).

Just as Teller wore out his welcome, Mike Myers burst onto the stage as Linda Richman from “Coffee Talk.” Betty and Jodi immediately hit her with a “Wayne’s World” “We’re not worthy” as Linda took a seat on the couch. Now here are three exaggerated New York accents that belong together! Betty, Jodi, and Linda kvetched and kvelled. “C’mon, look atcha,” Linda cooed, “two big sticks of butta.” These broads talked about everything: noodle kugel, their mutual friend Paul Baldwin (“Pool Boowldwin”) and his very real illness “advanced shpilkes in his kinnickdezoink,” and whether the Progressive Era was either progressive or an era.
